MINI FRAGRANCE

What are mini fragrances?

Tiny versions of normal size fragrances - exactly the same as the branded fragrances you would find in any department store or boutique, just miniature versions!

How big is a mini fragrance?

There is no 'standard' size for a mini perfume; however the majority contain between 4 - 7ml of fragrance and stand about 4 - 8cm tall.

Who makes them and why?

Most of the major fragrance houses make miniature versions of their available fragrances. They are usually made for one of three reasons: convenient portable size for travel or handbag; to give as free samples at events or in-store; or as limited edition collectors' items.

Is the fragrance the same as in the big bottles?

Yes, the fragrance in the miniature bottles is exactly the same as in the bigger bottles.

Do they come with a spray?

Some mini perfumes do come with a spray.  However, due to their small size, many miniature fragrances have stopper tops instead of spray tops, as a spray is not practical on such a small bottle.  To apply, remove the stopper from the top of the bottle, place the bottle opening on the skin, and invert.  To confirm which top the mini has please click the 'Product Details' tab in the item listing.

Are mini perfumes refillable?

Most mini fragrances come with a stopper top, and they can be refilled using a small funnel.  Minis with spray tops are not refillable. To confirm which top the mini has please click the 'Product Details' tab in the item listing.

What is a purse spray?

A purse spray is really just a slightly larger version of a miniature perfume, with a spray top.  Typically holding about 10-20ml of perfume, they are a convenient size to carry with you in your bag.

Are your items authentic?

We guarantee that all our items are authentic, and are very careful to source our products only from reputable suppliers.

Why does it say 'sample - not for sale' on the packaging?

A number of miniature fragrances are made to be given away as free samples at promotional events or in-store.  High street shops and department stores are therefore not supposed to sell these fragrances on, as they are designed for trial.  However we have had to purchase these miniatures from our suppliers, and so are able to price these accordingly for sale on our site.  You can find  which products have this printed on the packaging by clicking on the 'Product Details' tab in the listing.

Are mini perfumes cellophane wrapped?

The majority of mini fragrances are not cellophane wrapped.  However all the products we sell are new, unused and unopened.

PURCHASE & ORDERING

How do I find the products I am looking for?

There are several ways to find particular products.  You can type your query in the search box in the top right hand corner of the page.  You can use the navigation bar at the top of the screen, and select the appropriate category from the drop down menu.  You can also shop by brand by clicking the link at the bottom left of the page.

How do I make a purchase?

To purchase an item, select your desired product and click 'Add to Basket'. You can access your shopping basket by clicking on 'My Basket' at the top right of the page at any time whilst shopping. When you are ready to pay, go to your basket and click 'proceed to checkout'.

How do I remove something from my shopping bag?

You can remove items by clicking on the 'x' box next to the product in the shopping basket.  You can also increase or decrease the quantity of each item in your basket by typing a number in the box 'Qty'.

How do I pay for my order?

When you are ready to pay, click on 'Proceed to Checkout'.  This button can be found in your shopping basket.  Alternatively you can click on 'Checkout' which is at the top right of the screen in the main website.  Then follow the instructions to provide your information and payment details.

How do I use my discount voucher?

In your shopping basket, simply type the discount voucher code in the box labelled 'Discount Codes' and click 'Apply Coupon'.  The discount will then be automatically calculated. Top

 

PAYMENT & DELIVERY

Can I add a different delivery address to my order?

Yes, we can post to another UK address.  Click 'deliver to different address' during checkout and enter the relevant details.

How much is delivery?

For orders under £50 delivered to the UK, you can choose Royal Mail 2nd Class Recorded delivery for £3.50, or 1st Class Recorded delivery for £3.95.  Postage is free for orders over £50, and orders are shipped by 1st Class Recorded post.

Do you deliver outside of the UK?

Yes we post to all countries within the EU.  Please see our Delivery section for country specific postage rates.

Can I add a gift message?

Yes. During checkout, when you reach the 'Delivery Method' page click the 'Add gift options' box,  then click 'Add gift options for individual items'.  Select 'Gift Message' and enter your message.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept Visa and Mastercard directly through our secure SSL encrypted site.  If you prefer to pay by another means such as American Express or Delta, please select 'PayPal' as your payment method.  In the next screen, click 'Pay with a debit or credit card'. You can then choose your preferred method of payment.

Can I pay with my PayPal account?

Yes, simply choose 'PayPal' when you come to pay, and you will be taken to the secure PayPal login screen where you can proceed with payment.

How will I know my order has been placed?

When you have completed your order and payment has successfully cleared, you will be shown an order confirmation screen with your order number.  You will also receive an email to your supplied email address confirming the order is being processed.

When will my item be despatched?

Orders are usually despatched within one working day of receiving cleared payment.  Orders received by 12pm on a working day will in most cases be posted on the same day.

We will send you an email confirming when your order has been despatched, along with any tracking information.  Order delivery times for our standard service is 3 - 5 working days, but occasionally can take a little longer due to circumstances outside our control.

Can I track the delivery status of my order?

Yes, you will be sent a tracking number in the email confirming your order has been despatched, which you can use to check the delivery status.

Can I change or cancel an order after it has been placed?

In most cases we can change or cancel an order before it is despatched.  If you wish to do this please contact us at sales@petitperfume.com or by phone on +44 (0)1708 206286.  If you order has already been despatched, we unfortunately cannot alter any details.  In this instance please contact us to arrange a return once you have received it.  For full details please see our Returns policy.

What if I'm not in when you deliver?

If you aren't in to receive your order, the delivery company will leave a card and telephone number which you can call to either arrange redelivery or collection at your convenience. Top

 

PROBLEMS WITH MY ORDER

My order hasn't arrived yet - what do I do?

The majority of items will arrive within 3 - 5 working days from the date of despatch.  However due to circumstances beyond our control such as adverse weather conditions, your order may occasionally take longer.  Please allow up to 10 working days from your order despatch date for your parcel to arrive, if posted by 1st or 2nd class Royal Mail delivery.

Express delivery parcels should arrive within 2 working days of placing your order.

If your order hasn't arrived in this time and the delivery company has not left you a card, please get in touch so we can help at sales@petitperfume.com or by phone on +44 (0)1708 206286 during working hours.  You can also check the status of your parcel using the tracking information supplied in your 'order despatched' email.

I have been sent the wrong item - what do I do?

We take great care in picking and packing your order safely and correctly.  If however you have been sent the wrong item or quantity, please let us know as soon as possible so we can address the problem at sales@petitperfume.com or by phone on +44 (0)1708 206286 during working hours.

My order is damaged or faulty - what do I do?

If you order has arrived damaged or faulty, please retain the original packaging and get in touch with us as soon as possible by email at sales@petitperfume.com or by phone on +44 (0)1708 206286 during working hours.  We can then organise a return and refund.

What is your returns policy?

We want you to be completely happy with your order.  If you are not for any reason, we accept returns of new and unopened items within 30 days of receipt.  This does not affect your statutory rights.  For full details on how to arrange a return, please see our Returns section.

How long will it take to receive a refund?

Refunds are processed within 2 working days of us receiving the returned item.  We will notify you when we have received the item, and when your refund has been processed.  Please note that the refund may take up to 30 days for the refund to appear on your statement.  Refunds can only be issued back to the original method of payment.

Can I exchange an order?

We currently do not offer exchanges online.  If you are not happy with your order, please return it by following the instructions in our Returns policy.  Upon receipt of the return, we will issue you a refund.  Please then place a new order for the item(s) you require.  Top

 

MY ACCOUNT

How do I create my online account?

You can create an account in two ways.  You can either click on the 'My Account' button at the top of the page, then click 'Register'.  Fill in your name and email address, and choose a password.  Alternatively when you come to checkout you will be asked to 'Login' or 'Register'.  Click on the 'Register' button and add your details.

How do I create my Wishlist?

In the product information page, click on 'Add to Wishlist' next to the product image.  You can build up a list of items which you can share with friends and family via email, or choose to purchase by clicking the 'Add All To Basket' button .  You can view and update your Wishlist in 'My Account'.

I've forgotten my password, what do I do?

You can reset your password by clicking on 'My Account' on the top of the page, then select 'Forgot Your Password?' next to the login button.  You can then enter your registered email address in the box provided where you will be sent a link to reset your password.

How do I view my previous orders?

Click on 'My Account' at the top of the page, and sign in using your email address and password.  Click on 'My Orders' on the left of the screen, and select the order you wish to view by clicking 'View Order'. 

How do I sign up for your newsletter?

We send out a newsletter periodically, usually once a month, to update you of our latest products, special offers, exclusive discounts and latest trends.  To sign up, write your email address in the box 'Sign up for our newsletter' at the bottom of our home page, and click the Subscribe button.

How do I unsubscribe myself from the newsletter?

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by clicking the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of the email.  You can of course re-subscribe at any time by signing up at the bottom of our home page.  Top

We will not sell or pass on your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.

How secure is my personal information?

Whenever you access your account information or place an order, you can be assured that your details are secured using the recognised standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption method.  You can see this working where you see a padlock symbol in your browser's address bar, or when the web page address starts with 'https'.  This ensures that your information is encrypted before it is sent to us, to keep your personal details safe and secure.

What do you do with my credit card details?

Your credit or debit card details are passed directly and securely to the payments processor, which then obtains authorisation from your bank.  Our payments processor is PayPal, a highly respected platform operating worldwide with the latest security and verification procedures.  Please be assured that we do not hold any of your credit card details anywhere on our website.

Can I make payment over the phone?

Yes, please call our Customer Services team on +44 (0)1708 206286 on weekdays (excluding bank holidays) between 9.30am and 5.30pm who will happily process your order over the phone.
